I wanted to have a better detailed camera, so I had to cut out the wood brace and part of the molded in fuselage.

I needed to cut out another intake on the top of the scoop. I boxed it in with heavy card stock (an old business card.) Again, much use of the Dremel.

The air intake needed to be cleaned out, opened up and a splitter added. The Dremel came in real handy on this project.

This would be an in-flight exhibit. First order was to patch a lot of holes and missing parts of the fuselage. I used some large pieces of basswood and epoxy to fill the gaps. This is also the cleanest my desk has been in a long time.

I did this project about two years ago for the Arizona Military Museum at Papago Park in Phoenix. They wanted a large scale model of a drone for their display. I gathered a lot of info on the internet for the MQ-9 Reaper and made a reference book to use during the build.

One more of Ted's PT-13. It will be built as a float plane.

The final models, when used by the military, were to be painted black. The overall silhouette was more important than color details. Quick recognition was the key.
