The small test piece has three light coats, enough to look very good on the side with primer, but the side I didn't prime could use another coat or two like I had to do with the unprimed nacelle. Looks like a keeper to me.

I mentioned the problem I had with this primer to a friend and he said it was either too cold or I didn't shake the can enough. It was above the minimum reccomended temperature so I shook the can till my arm was tired and tried again. As you can see, the effort was worth it.

The LHS wanted $8 for a can of Krylon primer so I got this can of Rust-Oleum engine primer from the home improvement store for $5.50. As you can see, the first test piece was a disaster.

I took a scrap of silver SoLite to the LHS and found the best color match that I could. Later I realized it was for polycarbonate RC car shells, but it didn't hurt the extra engine nacelle I tested it on, just took a lot of coats to get good color.

Who says you can't see the skeleton once it's been covered?

Nice and smooth, got to love Solite for these smaller models.

Starting to wonder if I really do want clear windows.

I thought I could cover the access hatch with Solite, but as you can so it just doesn't stick so I'll have to use spray paint.

I like how it turned out here at the fuselage exit point.

The LHS carries much of the Model Shipways products so I grabbed this 0.028" Nylon rigging line to use for my pull-pull rudder so as no not use up any of the kit supplied rigging line in case there wasn't enough provided for both uses.

Small pieces of Sullivan cable tubing guide the rudder pull-pull lines where they exit the fuselage. The plans give no guidance on this exit so I borrowed ideas from the builds of others.

Thread is temporary till I find something more suitable. Brass rod provieds a means to tighten and rough trim.
