Rhysleo! Spotted this wing kit (and tailfeathers ) designed for the GWS "Slow Stik" at http://www.stevensaero.com/. Looks like a great way to get some ailerons under your thumbs and also follow in James footsteps and start some aerial photography! Check it out. Phil.

After dinner sunset flight. 90,000 acre brush fires lead to really specatacular sunsets. They even brought in the Martin "Mars" flying boat water tanker for this one.

12" WS. Balsa with a Bass lamination in the fuse. Shaped the wing with an airfoil. Need to go to the Park for some hard throws before it's gone. Gotta make sure it flies good! ;)

Been blasted with 2-D work the last two weeks so I took a little break and made a little hand-chuck glider for a neighbor. Flies surprisingly well. Too bad I've got to gift it. But it couldn't go to a nicer person.

With all the 1/16" infill, Spruce, and Bass, it ain't no light-weight but it'll be fine for my purposes.

Added some 1/32" Bass to the perimeter of the fin and contreol surfaces prior to attachment for "Ding" resistance and to help while sanding in an airfoil shape.

Back on the wing jig for final glue-up. A nice thing about using the "Gator Board" for a building board is one can cut it easily with a sharp hobby knife. Since my wing and control surfaces are already attached, this came in very handy. It'll help to keep the specified wash-out when covering as well. I'm gald I took the time to make a good and permanent wing jig

I cut the replacement rib oversize and sand to match. Some tape on th neighboring ribs protects them from from the block.

Clean up the unaffected areas and make replacement parts. During this repair I also became the official armorer (repair man) for a large scale "Khight" battle going on between my son and his friends. 7 swords, 2 staffs,3 heads, and 2 hands. Definately not a nice day in "Camelot"!
