I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

I realized at the very beginning of this build, that the profile of the Guillow's S.E. 5 at the nose had too much taper. I decided to alter its profile to reflect its more "boxy" squared-on shape. In doing so, I enlarged the front end, as expected, when compared to the kit's provided plastic cowl.

Landing gears installed. Much of the detailing will be hidden by the wheels unless someone pays (very) close attention.

Some lacing from my wife's sale tags. Lightly painted white to allow some of the silver to show through. This is to be used as "faux" rubber shock cords on the landing gear.

Fast forward to landing gears, bullet shaped fairing, and brackets in place and ready for installing to fuselage.

Landing gears and struts during the early build. Used basswood with several coats of varnish. That white "thangy{ being held by the needle nose pliers is the rough shape of the pilot's head rest.

Pun intended, but this is the "end" result of rigging with pins between the two wing struts. I sincerely thank each and everyone for your support.

Sorry this is the other side. But basically sized the plastic rigging and turnbuckles to fit and simply slipped them over the pin cut to the right size.

I simply took a regular pin and bent it at 90 degrees as close to the head as possible. Then inserted it through the hole made in the bracket

Came up with (to me) a somewhat novel concept. It's basically a continuation of using wire to hold the turnbuckle and rigging in place -see my previous postings
