I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

Decided to cover the laser cut Guillows kit. Covering with wet tissue, 50/50 water white glue to attatch. 2 pieces of tissue used to cover the whole fuselage.

First build. Decals wouldn't stick well on flat paint. I plan on getting some more colors and painting ask the markings. I realize the carb air scoop is on the wrong side. Didn't realize the dotted lines in the plan meant hidden view. Weight is 36g now but still needs balanced. Will probably fly like a brick. I learned a lot and had fun building it though.

Start by cutting planes, then slowly bring out the detail. Sorry I didn't get any pics of the face planar cuts. He really looked iffy there until the last 30 minutes of carving. When you get on a roll it's kinda hard to stop. Up to this stage all carving was done with my Handy dandy whittlin' knife shown in the photo. It's neat watching the face develop into someone. Who?, I don't have the slightest idea! David can figure that one out when he gets him.

And cut pretty close to the profile on a scroll saw. I cut the side view first so it would leave a nice cradle to support the blank while cutting the forward profile.

David posted this... so I thought he would be a nice lunch-time project (well, multiple lunch- project!). So I acquired the correct dimensions from David (Thank you very much), laminated a couple of 1/2" Basswood blocks, stuck down both the right and front views on the block....
