The underside shows the built-in left aileron deflection. For low wing war birds like this, this (or a drag flap) is essential to keep the plane from spiralling to the left.

I covered the model with domestic green tissue. Before applying the tissue, I chalked the underside with dark gray. This made the green more drab, and more opaque.

Pop off wheel pants in place. I attached them also with short lengths of thread so I don't forget to pick them up from the grass.

The wheel pants are held in place by magnets. during landing, they 'pop' off and are laying next to the plane.
