I didn't beef up the upper wing, i hope I'm nopt sorry, It's not going to fly anyway. I've already got my red chevron painted on, Next, I'll mask it off and airbrush the yellow on. Stay tuned!!

Sweetwillie..are you pre-shrinking the tissue by sprizting it with water then sealing the tissue before painting???

John, I'm spritzing it with half water and half alcohol, I finally figured out that I've been trying to cover too large an area at once. I find that if I use smaller pieces of tissue , it goes better. I use Future floor wax for a sanding sealer and as a adhesive for the tissue. I find it works great and as a final coat over the whole assembly, seems to leave a very good finish. Before that I was using Elmer's glue and water but no talc. How much talc do you use?

SW....Talc?? I don't use it. John O apparently does. Yes, smaller pieces work best especially for the rounded/curved areas. Applying the adhesive (Mixed Elmers is my preference) ONLY to the edges you want the tissue to stick is also the procedure. Suggest you Google Mikes Flying Scale Model pages and read all the chapters...excellent primer. Also, check out Easy Built Model sit for tips. Hope this helps.

John, Thanks for the heads up on those web sites, they are new to me and I've bookmarked them and see that they contain some very helpful info. But, to be honest, I get more good tips from reading and looking at the pictures on VA.(everytime I see VA, I think of the Veterans Admin. I've been going to the hospital for consultations at least once a month for about 4 years. So everytime I see "VA" I think Vets. Funny how our mind works.
