It needs to be flexible, yet stiff at the same time. I'm guessing there will some type of wire spring thing going on. And I don't think I've ever seen a small kit of this plane before, other than an old Comet kit which I'll skip. I like this one and can just imagine it with extra wood. ;-) It looks great in your version so for now I'll just watch.
