The belly did not turn out so good. Almost finished, still need panel lines and may make drop tank to hide the belly

It looks great, I don't see what's wrong with it. I have never had the patience for panel lines, tried just can't do them.

Sorry we got off on the wrong foot Intruder. Good to see your still around. I am still learning panel line technique. Some of its a guess, some you can measure of off the plans. They do make a model look nice. Go for it FLYBOYZ!

I have a 1903 Wright flyer I bought awhile back, just opened it up and looked at it. This is going to be quite the project, debating on if I want to try and tackle it or not. The others here sure turned out nice.

The wright flyer, man o man the wings are awsesome, the threading another thing. I have been studying for a couple of hours now and I think I can build this, I am going to put my money where my mouth is on this one. Wishing the best of luck to me.

I wish you the best as well, I personally have not had a lot of success with bi plane construction. Just take your time, and be patient.
FLYBOYZ05-Feb-11 11:53
O good I wanted to ask you what type paint you used here dfrank?Thank you
dfrank4705-Feb-11 19:26
The paint is acrylic from Wal Mart and A.C. Moore, they both have a large selection.
FLYBOYZ05-Feb-11 20:33
Do you delute it or use it straight from the bottle and what color you use on the top of model thank you!flyboyz
FLYBOYZ05-Feb-11 20:34
I got dark bown but I don,t think thats the color
dfrank4706-Feb-11 09:06
The paint I used on top is olive by Folk Art paints. The bottom is Folk Art white. I blended the two colors together to get an acceptable shade of green for the cockpit.
FLYBOYZ06-Feb-11 09:13
