The ailerons are connected together with cable. The crossed silver cables pull the ailerons and their connecting strut up or down. The continuous loop of cable produces the opposite effect on the “Udder” side. The linkage cables for the ailerons are exposed running, almost medially, on the upper and lower air planes. The ‘Jenny” has a similar external aileron system.

Excellent! Hopefully one these bright spring days you will take the Ogre out of dungeon to the sunlight to take some pics.
John M Oshust28-Mar-15 08:01
rayl, I certainly will. I have run into this problem before. Completing a model when the weather is not conducive for "fresh air" photography. Ogre will fly with Nunzio in our garage. Outdoor photos will be in order when he is transported from basement shop to garage.

That's really nice. Do the cables just go right through the wings on a roller or pulley?
John M Oshust28-Mar-15 12:02
Don C. I utilized the pulleys that I constructed a couple of weeks back. One style was installed in the wings, small pulleys on the wing surfaces.

Matt, Thanks a great deal. Looks like we get temps In the mid twenties tonight. I have been told that the cold builds character!! On a spring note while collecting the winter deposit of dog poop from the property today, I did notice crocus blooming. My fruit trees made it through the winter and are already pushing buds. Spring is waiting in the wings:-))
