Rgood, is this in your log book. Released from RAF in 98.

I have a few Chipmunk trips through the ATC - had to "wave" to the Duke of Edinborough one day when he was flying out of White Waltham - I was with an RAF instructor in a Chippy!

By the way chaps my actual first name is Bob (Robert to some!) I am James Goods Dad!

Bob, this is a friends Chippy, it is one of the last released from the RAF. Helped recover it, has 13,000+ hrs on it. The markings were faithfully reproduced.

Where is this machine based now Huey? Very nice - have you flown it? (Re my last statement: The "Duke" was piloting a DH Heron at White Waltham in UK - that is another nice looking bird!)

DeHavilland produced the "Dove" a twin engine version of the 4-engine Heron. The Chippy is a beautiful plane and has been the subject of many models both in military and civilian colors.

It's living in Ohio, south of Cleveland a place called Wadsworth. A friend purchased it for $10k, the owner is going thru a divorce. Emagine!
