Perfect weather - sunny, no wind, 18 deg F at the break of dawn rising to 27 deg F by noon, and a lot of action hunting the wiley Ringneck. We love an organic meal once in a while. He caught a big cock-bird, all by himself, and comes waltzing up to me with it in his mouth, and proceeds to set it on the ground in front of me, instead of giving it to my hand, as if to say "You shoot it so I can retrieve it" (I had just missed a couple) - needless to say, it peeled away and I got it first shot, and Trapper did his regular perfect retrieve - sit, hold, shake a paw, shake other paw, in my hands droop it - I just love this dog!
