I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

David, I'm sure you've told us before, but please remind me - do you use any sort of liquid sealer between sanding and filling the planks?

You're a good man. Makes me believe there's a Heaven, after all!

David. I'm just sitting here hitting "Prev"..."Next"..."Prev"..."Next". Quite a sight to behold. You'll be getting the rears as well.

Covering of the nacelles and stabilizer is next.

The fuselage is completely covered except for the tail and nose blocks. The wing has been CA'd in place and filler added.

A soft balsa 1/16" stringer for fill....

Cool. Starting on those things this weekend, too.

I have the silkspan taped to the fuselage and have traced thr pattern onto it. I'll now remove the silkspan and cut out the pattern on the pencil lines. Now when I lay the wet silkspan onto the fuselage, all I have to do is line it up and dope it down.

Do you cut through the center of the seam overlap through both layers of silkspan, and pull out the remnant sliver of the previously applied piece of silkspan from under the the newly applied piece to end up with an almost gapless seam (kinda like Marquetry)?
David Duckett, Comment for image # 1387228 Aug 09 15:59
I have sinned before doing as you ask but now I'm making the pieces fit right up against the other piece, hopefully. Any small gaps that might happen are just natural panel lines.
pfinn, Comment for image # 1387228 Aug 09 15:09
Are you making a small overlap onto the previously applied section? And if so, do you sand off the double thickness after the doping, or will the primer coats take care of the seams?

Since I'm covering too, here's a closer look.
David Duckett, Image # 1387228 Aug 09 13:33

So you know where to cut...

Considering the diheral, amazing work to get those two halves to fit perfectly....APPLAUSE

Yup. Sweet.
David Duckett, Image # 1383825 Aug 09 19:48
