Thanks DD, poppy. The wheels give me a "woody!" "Lettuce" hope when I tissue the upper wing it turns out equally well. |

Looking good. I am thinking you really like deep purple. BTW, the wing coverings turned out really well. |

I REALLY like the looks of this. Those fat tires just set it off! |

"TANKS!" They are going to need some rivets/lug nuts or paint, but for $9 they fill the bill. |

Close enough. Great wheels! |

New shoes fitted and installed. The Williams Bros wheels are a close match to those shown in this research photo. |

The lower wing trimmed and sealed. Upper wing framed. I hope the UW covers as well as the UW.....tomorrow! |

DD...I am liking your favorite covering method. Think it is OK for my first attempt. The decals and parts are in the mail. |

Oh, I see now what you were saying about the wing former construction. That would be a pain in the butt for anyone as the Dumas wood in my Corsair kit was very light and very frail, great wood for flying though. |

Bottom sheeted with 1/16 balsa and sanded it thinner. |

Fraile wing problem solved. Sheeted the bottom, plan to tissue the top. |

Look carefully at the wing formers. You had to construct each individually by attaching 1/16 wood on the bottom. Out side of the robust LE, the TE and stingers are 1/16....very frail and hard for me to work with....I kept breaking pieces as I handled it. |
