The smell of the nitrate dope returned me to my uncle Stan's construction of control line planes. He taught me a lot when I was 12. He also kept telling me that I would never be able to build wooden airplanes! |

Yes, to find the ground in fog and storms. Remember most airfiels only had smudge pots for illumination. |

Thanks poppy. Your Texan is also shaping up quite nicely. I hope you included the muffler bearing cut off switch in the pits. I put one in the DH-4 even though it was not a standard issue option! |
