"Zipcode" my DH-4 mail plane has a framed lower wing. Of all the planes I have built this was the most difficult to construct.

The smell of the nitrate dope returned me to my uncle Stan's construction of control line planes. He taught me a lot when I was 12. He also kept telling me that I would never be able to build wooden airplanes!

Yes, to find the ground in fog and storms. Remember most airfiels only had smudge pots for illumination.

Thanks poppy. Your Texan is also shaping up quite nicely. I hope you included the muffler bearing cut off switch in the pits. I put one in the DH-4 even though it was not a standard issue option!
