I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

Thanks for the comments guys. I have the feeling that it might get turned into foam dust once I attempt to fly it. (I haven't flown a EDF before so I'm going to have one of the guys from the local RC club do the intial flights.) I kept all of my patterns, just in case. [BTW, it wieghs in at 15 3/4 oz, just a little heavy.]

Ray - that hushed, delicate, soft edge color, whispering into the next color on your camo scheme, is very appealing!

That is sweet Ray . I'm sure it's going to perform better than the full scale. Very nice job!

14 days to get to this point. Working with foam is something different; very soft and prone to dings. Even from fingernails. Made the Stars & Bars and "slime lights" on my printer. Tail coes are from some vinyl letter sheets and completely bogus. Still awaiting the arrival of the EDF from China.

Ray - you have me interested in "foamies" now. We have "Dollarama" stores in Canada that sell Elmer's - "Ross Foam Board" display boards - 20" x 30" x 3/16", $1.25 . I actually have a couple of these that I use for taking pictures of my planes with natural light coming through the balcony sliding glass doors using no flash. I found this great "Flight Test" article on building and flying R/C with "Ross Foam Board" and "Adam's Readi Board" (DTFB or Dollar Tree Foam Board) https://flitetest.com/articles/ross-foam-board

I have a dx6i myself that I use. it's been sitting on the shelf for a while though.

Ray, I was lucky to have won a DX6 last fall at our club fly-in. Looking forward to its use this spring.

3 channels: throttle and elevator/elevon mixing. Got a new DX6i Xmttr for the mixing feature. WHEN the fan unit gets here, I will cut a hole in the bottom of the fuse and install. I made the provisions to do this during the build.

exceptional results rayl! how are you going to get the fan unit in there?
Huey V77, Comment for image # 3796810 Feb 17 21:30
How many Chanel's ?
rayl, Comment for image # 3796810 Feb 17 21:30
Nope. It's just Dollar Tree foam board ($1.00/20" X 30" sheet) that I removed the paper from before using it. Don't know if there are Dollar Tree stores up north.

Nice "Foam Jet" Ray - is that a special type of foam (plastic foam?)that they use for RC models?

Phoamy Phantom sealed, primed and ready for a SEA camo paint job. It weighs 13 3/4 oz in it current state. Still waiting for the ducted fan to clear The Donald's customs.

HOW TO POST A "BLUE LINK" TO ANOTHER SITE, AND/OR PAGE, ON THAT SITE Go to the site you want to "post" a "Link" from, then go to the page on that site that you want (saves everybody from looking all over the site), that page will now add on a little bit to the end of the site address. Then "HIGHLIGHT" the black letters and words of the address bar, which is at the top left of the page, just to the right of the black "BACK" arrowhead - highlight as follows - left click hold down the mouse button, and drag the cursor across the letters and words etc. of the address to the very end (sometimes the last bit is hidden), release the button, and the black letters have now turned into white letters on a blue bar background. "COPY" this "Highlighted address", by pressing together at one time, the "Ctrl" button and the "C" button, then let go - the highlighted address is now copied into a small memory. To "PASTE" this address, left click your cursor onto a spot where you want the "copied address" to go - make sure you add an open space (space bar at the bottom of the keyboard) after the cursor placement, then press together at one time the "Ctrl" button and the "V" button, then let go, and this will paste the address into that spot. Leave another space at the end of this "pasted address link". The original black words and letters and numbers of the web "address", are now recognized as a "LINK" by the web and the black letters and words now become "BLUE" in color denoting a "Link".
