Ray, I was lucky to have won a DX6 last fall at our club fly-in. Looking forward to its use this spring.

3 channels: throttle and elevator/elevon mixing. Got a new DX6i Xmttr for the mixing feature. WHEN the fan unit gets here, I will cut a hole in the bottom of the fuse and install. I made the provisions to do this during the build.

exceptional results rayl! how are you going to get the fan unit in there?

How many Chanel's ?
rayl, Comment for image # 3796810 Feb 17 21:30
Nope. It's just Dollar Tree foam board ($1.00/20" X 30" sheet) that I removed the paper from before using it. Don't know if there are Dollar Tree stores up north.

Nice "Foam Jet" Ray - is that a special type of foam (plastic foam?)that they use for RC models?

Phoamy Phantom sealed, primed and ready for a SEA camo paint job. It weighs 13 3/4 oz in it current state. Still waiting for the ducted fan to clear The Donald's customs.

HOW TO POST A "BLUE LINK" TO ANOTHER SITE, AND/OR PAGE, ON THAT SITE Go to the site you want to "post" a "Link" from, then go to the page on that site that you want (saves everybody from looking all over the site), that page will now add on a little bit to the end of the site address. Then "HIGHLIGHT" the black letters and words of the address bar, which is at the top left of the page, just to the right of the black "BACK" arrowhead - highlight as follows - left click hold down the mouse button, and drag the cursor across the letters and words etc. of the address to the very end (sometimes the last bit is hidden), release the button, and the black letters have now turned into white letters on a blue bar background. "COPY" this "Highlighted address", by pressing together at one time, the "Ctrl" button and the "C" button, then let go - the highlighted address is now copied into a small memory. To "PASTE" this address, left click your cursor onto a spot where you want the "copied address" to go - make sure you add an open space (space bar at the bottom of the keyboard) after the cursor placement, then press together at one time the "Ctrl" button and the "V" button, then let go, and this will paste the address into that spot. Leave another space at the end of this "pasted address link". The original black words and letters and numbers of the web "address", are now recognized as a "LINK" by the web and the black letters and words now become "BLUE" in color denoting a "Link".

That would be peachy Richard.

Ray - I never knew how to post a link til about 4 months ago - and my buddy showed me - if you want, I can explain how to do it right here in a couple of sentences ...

Thanks for the info Ray - I found it https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showpost.php?p=21988710 now you've got me ...

Since I can't figure out how to link the OP build thread here: (1) RC Groups.com, (2) Scratchbuilt EDF'S [under Aircraft-Electric-Jets] (3) Phantom 70MM PLANS on page 2. Richard, I can't take credit for the draftsman's plans as they are on the OP's page.

Yes - big, ducted fan RC foamy jet - very cool! Like your drafstman's diagrams.
John M Oshust, Comment for image # 3794606 Feb 17 20:20
Slick. A fan jet!
rayl, Comment for image # 3794606 Feb 17 19:53
John: Hopefully! It will be powered by a 70 MM electric ducted fan. 2-4 channel RC. Did that answer your question Richard(?).

Will this be a sling-shot missile glider?
John M Oshust, Comment for image # 3794606 Feb 17 18:40
rayl. Will this foam bird fly?
rayl, Comment for image # 3794606 Feb 17 17:34
No other pictures yet. You can make a page for me, if you will, James: Phoam Phantom Scratch build. Yes, that is a 6mm carbon fiber arrow shaft embedded in the wing laminations.
jgood, Comment for image # 3794606 Feb 17 17:02
Very nice! Any more pictures showing the build? Is that black mark a reinforcing spar in the wing?
