And it's no longer a "taildragger". Cowling really looks good. |

THe cowling was glued on with medium CA. Tomorrow I'll sand it all smooth. |

I used the slots for the motor mounts and glued the engine on them. THen I added a bottom, LOTS of lead weights, and then filled it with filler. |

No. That is the same scheme as my Skyray so this one will be yellow. |

that looks proper! Did I see you say this would be a Navy bird? Is that the red white and black trainer scheme? |

I'll sand it with 320 wet/dry sandpaper first and then apply another coat. |

I sprayed on one coat last night. This is a new product to me. It has a slight rough feel which is the filler part, I guess. |

At first he said "no aluminum" but when he saw what actually needed to be done he was ok with it. He was quite an interesting man. I asked if he also painted and he showed me a couple of photos of his work which is far more abstract than my stuff. He charged me $10 but when I wanted to put it on my card he said no because the shop would add a fee. Turns out he likes large canvases and I just happen to have a couple on hand. Deal! |

So.. What type of reaction did you get from the jewelry repairman when you took the cowling in? |
