?? Did he fall under the spell of a beautiful charming SeƱorita on his last vacation down there? They can cause men to throw all caution to the wind ...

It's that time of year. His southern migration will soon be here. The shop closes till the fall. We will miss you all!

Looks more like- Spring has sprung, fall has fell, winter is here and it's colder than usual.

Spring has sprung. The grass has riz. I wonder where the birdies is!

Pilot pit revealed. Gunnery pit requires pondering. Must mount the Lewis gun properly. Thought required as to diameter of gun mounting ring and gunnery pit opening.

We covered the port and starboard fuselage sides with poly-span. The box of sticks is starting to look like an aero plane!

Marked the openings for the pilot and gunner.

Installed the internal engine mount.

Yes smooth but still needs work. Must spackle some flaws, sand quickly and seal. Then cover the wood with poly-span as a faux cloth cover.

Smooooth!

LWM, as you see it, without the engine, it is 36 inches in length. 1/7 scale. 48 inch wingspan. More wood than a small lumber yard?

John - that Baboon fuse looks pretty long ... How long is it and what is the wingspan?
John M Oshust, Image # 3816221 Mar 17 18:07

Fitting the empennage so it slides into and aligns itself in the dorsal fuselage.
John M Oshust, Image # 3816121 Mar 17 18:05

Sanded and sealed the sheeted parts of the fuselage.

One section to go and this task will be concluded!
John M Oshust, Image # 3813419 Mar 17 10:52

Gumby sweeps away some sawdust. The dorsal fuselage is completely sheeted. Not one of my favorite activities but a necessary task!
John M Oshust, Image # 3811316 Mar 17 15:26

Great progress today. No cut fingers, the sheeting cooperated. The Baboon starts to take form.
John M Oshust, Image # 3811216 Mar 17 15:24

Soon the engine will have a display stand!
