rayl, The blue thingie was being used to dust shelves in what was once my darkroom. The former darkroom is now a storage depository. At my current juncture in life, my nerves do not respond to the tactile stimulation of a blue thingie type device. In fact my synaptic current is suffering from old fart syndrome. I do appreciate Mr. Blue Thingie's electrostatic ability to collect dust!😂 |

Does Gumby need a occsional treatment with the "Blue Thingy" to inspire him? (or it for your use?) |

Looks like the feathers should fit quite nicely. |

A bit of empennage construction. Note the metal ruler. The "feathers" are quite large. |

Gumby installed the fuselage dome thingies this day. A bit more progress. He must pace himself. His goal is completion when the rabbit arrives! |

John - what type of glue do you use for the fuse uprights and crossmembers - gap filling thin CA after they are clamped into position? or fast setting white glue like "Sobo" before clamping? Or, how do you do it? |

I convinced Gumby to stay home and toil. |

rayl. You mentioned spruce, I just used spruce on the cabane struts. 🌲 |

I have often wondered why we (as a group) don't use basswood or spruce on our non-flying models. These woods are stronger, more limber under certain conditions and sand down better. |

Thanks. Unfortunately the little wonder wants the weekend off. He said something about going snowboarding. 🏂 |

Gumby took some liberties with his construction. He chose basswood rather than balsa for the 1/8" frame. He also added the diagonal braces utilizing scrap balsa that was laying about. The completed port and starboard sides of the rear fuse dry until the morrow. |
