| Charlie has gone west as of yesterday...a great and constant companion, he was never far from my side...almost feels like he’s still close by. Best boy ever. |

If my ex accused me of looking at plane porn, I would retort sarcastically, "Just the 'Mile High Club' category", and watch her get "as mad as a 'wet' hen" - and you know how vicious those hens get when you try to steal their eggs they just laid and are sitting on ... | No need for confessions. We all try things. Just about every model gives me a " How the heck did I pull that off?" moment. All the kudos are nice, but sharing and learning is what it's all about. Eh? |

| To be honest, every time during the build that I thought about the rigging I had to set it aside. I really wasn't sure what I would do. Its kind of funny that it was the same for the door hinges. I had to buy a pack of the tubing because they weren't sold in singles. That being the case I bought two lengths of the fine wire that fit inside the tubing. Like buying more hotdog buns than you need because of the damn packaging. Wouldn't you know the extra wire was exactly the amount needed for the rigging? I'm not kidding. There was 1-1/2" of the wire left over after I was done. So when you say you admire my approach I have to tell you all you need is a blindfold and someone to spin you around a few times before you begin your next build - that was pretty much my approach .. the appearance that it all worked out in the end is a happy surprise. I am very grateful to have this venue / confessional to share my 'methods' with you all. Thank you for your generous encouragements |

| I have to tell ya man the Arrow II with the conventional tail and retracts was a nice little airplane, especially with a 3-blade prop.

| I heard that that -T-tail was a terrible flaw. The only reason they did that was aesthetics. What a stupid thing to do.
I did not know about the cooling problem - yikes. What did the plugs look like running her rich all the time? |

| BTW: I used to fly all makes of the PA-28 Cherokee series. Only one I didn't like was the Piper Arrow Mk. IV with the T-tail and turbocharged engine without any cowl flaps for cooling. Had to enrichen the mixture to keep the engine cooled down. Because it was out of the prop wash, combined with the wing blanking the airflow, that T-tail had a tendency to stall first during the flare to the runway making for some "interesting" landings. |

| Thanks Don - BtW there is a feller over on the Stick and Tissue website who has a copy of the Cleveland Models plans for the Laird Solution LDC-W300 that you built so I linked to your build thread - hope that's ok. He's a Canadian like me so if he asks any questions you gotta talk s l o w...lol |

| Thank you, John and Ray - the Laird was a fun build. I plan to continue with the Dumas 400 line of Golden Age racers at some point. The kits are just terrific. |
