someone had asked earlier if the pinball machine works..but I don't remember if it was on this forum or another - anyhoo - she works.Its actually a really fun game table. All the bells work and its from way before the transistor age so it is filled with hundreds of miles of wiring and mechanical relays and open wire wrapped resistors. An amazing amount of labor and materials went into these things - nickle catchers |

| After building the -Z- I got interested in the period. I had not been in the library for years, but I looked up the Thompson, Bendix and Schneider cup races and found some books of interest. There are dozens of really amazing one off planes of fame from the period. BtW Dave - those were the very first words I said to my wife of 33 years - good times |

| FWIW the Dumas GeeBee Z kit had no bracing wire diagrams either...I have been communicating with them since the last build. They are considering creating a website and fan forum. I suggested adding a vacu-form pilot and dummy engine for these Golden Age racers since they all used variations of the Wasp or Wasp Jr. Also suggested rigging diagrams so we'll see |

| None LWM - nothing - but I have the internets and found a suitable handful of photo's. The only oddity is that some pictures indicate an -X- bracing on the landing gear, in addition to the single horizontal wire - and others do not.
I have an early reference book from the period that omits the -X- bracing wires so I think I'll trust that. not certain yet |

| Thank you - yes the decals are really nice and look good against this paint scheme. Once the flying wires are installed I'll post the final pictures. These Dumas kits are terrific..and there are more in this 400 series of theirs. |

| Thanks guys - I share your enthusiasm. This model went together fairly well. I was concerned that I had bitten off a little too much with the cockpit scratchup and the clamshell doors but I have to say I am happy with the outcome. |

| pilot is tucked in and the canopy is in the closed position.
It slides a little too tightly so I will have to do more sanding on the slotted track but that's ok. All in all I am please with the cockpit doors and canopy arrangement as I was able to piece it together. Dunno how that happened but I'll take it and run |

| the wheel spats match pretty closely - note: again Dumas provides a peel and stick sheet of markings. They are printed as one solid sheet. The builder must cut them out for application to the model. On wood they can be repositioned easily but if this were a stick and tissue build I think the silk span or similar would tear...FYI |
