Sorry for the late reply, yes its hand carved its only for static display. I'm tempted to try carving one for my DVII but I think I would have problems balancing it for flight. |

A closeup of the motor, not the most detailed but it should look ok behind the cowl. |

Beautiful.......is it hand carved? How does it behave under speed? I've carved some years ago. Static balanced it but under speed it shakes the whole world. |

My first ever carved prop and I'm 100% happy with the result. I think after some staining and detailing it will look good. |

After a busy day build I now have the cowl and cheeks covered in foil and the new turtle? deck on and ready for sanding & shaping. Landing gear has been started and I have carved my first prop ever :-) |

Hey, yes they were.... I didn't sand their profile correct when I first made this model. The interplane struts and the landing struts are being remade. |

Looks like the interplane struts are circular wooden columns. Is it corrected? |

While I like this plane it just never looked right sitting next to my SE5a so I decided it was time to tidy her up. I plan on -adding sheeting to the sides and turtle deck -new carved prop -new engine -new landing gear/struts -covering the cowl and cheeks with foil -adding decals. |
