I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

Thanks James. It was a great kit and just as interesting to learn more about Bert Hall and his influence at Grumman after his days with the Granville’s and air racing were over during the research phase of the build. So many remarkable ne legendary people were part of the golden age of aviation - especially in the Thompson /Bendix and Schneider cup racing aspect.

I understand. Have some - read several - on the shelf too.

Thanks, Don - I spent a couple of hours cleaning some of the ones that had been neglected a while yesterday and wondering if I really want to keep making more of them. There are still so many I want to build...Staggerwing, DC-3, Waco, etc..on top of the three unbuilt kits I have on the shelf.

just cleaned up some of these dust collectors today..decided to hang the Halls Bulldog under the skylight for a minute. Think I'll leave it up there for a while.

my mistake..

I didn't use gesso on the T-28, only the P-61.

And thank you for your appreciation of the build and for the well wishes for our beautiful Courtney...it was a rough week indeed.

Hey Sky - yes she is recovering well - she was just here for a visit and it’s such a relief. The Gesso by Liquitex is a game changer that Dave Duckett uses and provided the info on. See his outstanding Berkely T28 Trojan build. I buy it from Michaels Art Supply here in SD - I am in Ocean Beach about 5 blocks from where this picture was taken. I ride all over the ‘hood on my bike when the weather is like this lol.

HW: I forgot to add: congratulations on your marvelous build of the Bulldog and the successful outcome of your daughter-in-law. Happy Memorial Weekend. You deserved it.

HW" Where can you purchase this Gesso?" I'm thinking of using it on my future modeling project. By the way, I used to visit Ocean Beach, CA, when living in L.A. Now I moved to Reno. Where about do you live now?

My wife says Robert Hall (pilot) looks a bit 'foreign'...maybe this was a check ride by a potential buyer or A/P mechanic - sure - let's just say that. https://www.airzoo.org/page.php?page_id=262
