Foil is self-adhesive Brian. It's the roll you can see in the background.

how did you attach the foil bob?
rgood, Comment for image # 3958710 Nov 17 11:59
Yes LW foil tape! Not sure if I can make a go of covering the whole aircraft and make it look acceptable. Very hard to make the join lines merge. But it does give a fairly good "Alloy" shine. Edges are also a prob. as they tend to "weep" adhesive.

What a sheen Bob - it looks like a mirror finish!! How did you do that - with chrome tape?

Damn, That looks good!!!!!!!!!!

Rayl - as you can see not much progress! Weed eating and fire avoidance has taken some time away, as well as a few road trips in CA. Maybe winter will get me moving again?

I am stumbling here - need to sort the front canopy moulding too!

The Ercoupe looks extry sleek and shiny in this photo.. Quite a backdrop too - suitable for framing. If you have the gear a nighttime shot with the milkyway behind it would be something. The little plane with its polished metal skin looks a bit space-shippy

This dry lake-bed is as flat as a pancake - and has a "span" of 18,000 feet. It's real name is "FishLake" - A fly-in was held there last year - James took his son, Charles, there and they camped under the stars!

Looks like a lonesome field.

I did not feel the "Greaser" touch down here - Good one James!

"Dead Cow" field!

Thank you, rgood. It's nice of you to offer. I may just take you up on that. Since this model is being built to fly I'm limited as to how far I can go on the detailing. The cockpits are where the ESC, receiver, battery, and two servos will be mounted so the instrument panels will have to be removeable to access the electronics. I'll also have to forgo the scale control wires to the rudder and elevator for fear of them getting snagged while on the ground.

Be my guest Biplane Guy on the quadrant - By the way I have an original DH 82A maintenance manual here! If you need any details I could digi-pic them and send to you - just a thought.

Love that informative, extravagant, "next level" detailing!

Very nice.

What a great idea! That's taking it to the next level.

That's really nice. Can I copy your quadrant? The picture is a nice touch.
