Thanks jerry. For me, the essence of the stick and tissue model is the translucent quality of the finished product. I love seeing the light shine through the tissue when the plane is in the air. Glad to hear the surgery went well.

i absolutely love your handling of paper for color and markings. i am typing with 1 hand. the sugery seems to have gone well, but will not know for weeks or months. depends on if feeling and strength comes back in hand.

Right now I'm still sorting out the trim of the plane, but it looks promising. There's a lot of wing on this plane.

markings are kit supplied decals

Canopy and wing fillet are in place. A black strip of tissue to represent the 'wing-walk' really hides a lot of blemishes.

Section colors are added

Wing Fillet area that needs some slight sanding / shaping, then covering.

For this yellow-wing scheme, the tailfeathers are white - USS Saratoga Air Group

Covering begins. The white tieeue is 'misted' with silver floral spray. Not much is needed.

Mock-up before sanding. Althtoutgh not called for on the plans, I typically fill in the nose area with sheet wood for strength and some added weight

Bones for the Vindicator. There are 'cap strips' on both surface of the tailfeathers that were eventually sanded to a profile shape.

Realy looks great, right out of Dive Bomber. I would love to do a vindicator in the mariings from Midway off the cover of the Squadron-Signal book. Did the markings ocme with the kit or did find them some place or die you make them.
