The prop blades and tail wheel strut were carved from Jelutong wood the Frewyflyer sent. It was a pleasure to work with I my thanks to him for the samples of the great carving wood.

This inexpensive 500 series kit is a surprisingly good build, I'm looking forward to building some of the others as well as trying my hand at the 1/24th scale 900 series.

The wire kit landing gear is covered with neopreme and dressed up with masking tape. The tail wheel frame is made of wood and plastic.

Papering is finished. The wheels are just temperarily stuck on for fitas is the cowling.

With a little sanding the cowling fits well. The component are starting to look like my favorite airplane.

I never seriously considered building the inexpensive 500 series kits until I noticed the size, the Bf 109 is exactly 1/24th scale and the Fw 190 is just a little smaller than 1/24th scale.

The Diels Shinden is a very good kit, unfortunately I did not do it justice. I started it while waiting for the Fw 190D-9 which arrived early and I hurried to finish the Shinden in order to start on the D-9.
