Without the help of my little friend, I was not able to fully accomplish today’s fabrication goal. I did manage to construct and install an interrupter gear mechanism that will permit the Vickers to fire through a four bladed air screw. This mechanism synchronizes engine/airscrew rotation with Vickers discharge. Pictured here you can see how the linkage enters into the engine compartment.

MG belts originally were canvas. Upon discharge the belt would get caught in the prop wash, flail about and cause the gun to jam. The belt chute appears on Aeroplanes prior to the adaptation of a disintegrating metal link belt. I like the chute so Ogre fires canvas belted ammo!
