The plastic piece sits flush with the balsa piece. Glue the two together using small amounts of Testors plastic cement or CA. SMALL!! Excess amounts will melt the plastic. Make the other half the same way. When the glue dries the two halves can then be glued together. The seams are sanded and white putty is applied and sanded smooth, as in the Rapide build. I also use this for cowls if needed. Cutting the balsa piece to fit inside is a bit of a pain but it doesn't have to be perfect. All you need is a solid base to glue the other piece to and it will be inside, anyway. |

Another method for gluing plastic halves together...The clear plastic represents a white plastic piece. Cut a balsa piece to fit just inside the plastic piece. |

The wing and tail feathers have been covered and I think I'll leave the nacelles uncoverd. The fuselage will be covered when I can get outside again. |
