Iused the plan method for attachment to the shocks and fuselage, Al tabs, like on my Camel to attach them to the wing.

Everything is holding together with friction and rubber bands....all seems to fit. This should be wrapped by Friday!

This rubber band and string clamp seems to do the job. While the White glue dries I will fabricate aileron cranks.

I never realize how big the plane will be until it starts to come together. I was perplexed as to how to clamp the wing tips.

I laminated 4, 1/2 inch balsa bolcks for the W tips. I do not trust myself with a knife so I quickly shaped them on a small belt sander. Now I will glue them to the wing, final shaping by hand.

Thanks DD for the advice about the large wing decals. Your thought never crossed my mind. Off to the hills of PA for 4 days to try and decrease the turkey population. The wing gets covered upon return.

The Spirit has a wing. A few extra stingers and a large stringer just forward of the aileron spaces. I could not get 1/32 bass wide enough to cover in one piece so I had to adjust the stringers to hold a tight seam.

These a floral arranging pins. They are a bit long but cut easily to fit your building board. You can purchase them at a craft shop. I found them useful in building the Spirit wing.
