Next underside grey will be a touch lighter. Also decided to hollow out the oil cooler intakes at leading edge. There were a lot more panels that could be drawn in but they can become a real PITA. |

Decals for RTD. Question. Where do you guys get your water slide decal sheets? Scaled off Rechalovs' kills today and now must duplicate a decal. Going to need clear sheets for this and white for the serial #. Really don't want to use "flea" bay. I tried DD's method of stars. Kudos DD, I gave up. I can probably get away with it on the underside. Too nany colors bumping into green. |

Soon to be the P-39Q15 of Maj. Grigoriy Andrrevih Rechkalov of the russian 16GIAP. Trying to locate stars for decaling his 56 kills and a better replica of his initials. |

Original Yellow ochre and black mixture produced an olive color that dried over night much darker than the first photo I posted. By adding varying degrees of tan rather than white or more yellow, I faded the Cobra's individual panels. One more application of the original base color lightened just a touch and watered down should tie it all together nicely. |

Moostang's version of a worn wing surface. The few blemishes in recessed panelines will be touched up with thin CA, covered with future acrylic, then washed with...who knows? My thanks to DD for a great lesson on how colors actually work. |

Installed hydraulics, electric and prop shaft in front wheel well. Running out of things to do. Need more Chartpak tape for balance of panel lines prior to final paint. Getting very antsy!!!! |
