edtherenderman | Scratch Built Bugatti 100P | Build | 18-Jan-21 08:16 | | Views : 527 | Waiting for paint to come in for my XP-67, so been focusing on the Bugatti. Working on Interior details that I’ll print on the 3D printer. Getting reference materials are hard because there are very few pictures of the interior of the aircraft, both in period and from the replica that was built in the 2000’s. I need to guess on some of this, like the starboard side panel. No pictures that I can find, so I’m guessing this is where all the electrical stuff is. |
edtherenderman | Scratch Built Bugatti 100P | Build | 04-Jan-21 07:57 | | Views : 1358 | Last week and this weekend, I used render options in Blender.org to produce all the outline images, which I then brought into PhotoShop to create the build plan. This is sheet 1 of 2. This plan will fit on six 8.5” x 11” sheets of paper so I can print them out on a printer and tape them together. |

edtherenderman | Scratch Built Bugatti 100P | Build | 04-Jan-21 07:55 | | Views : 647 | Been working on the Bugatti 100P plans while waiting for paint to come in for the XP-67. I spent five straight days over Christmas break creating the framework of the aircraft in Blender.org. Here is the results which I will use to create the scale plans. Everything in the model is scaled virtually to 1/14 so all wood thickness will end up as standard sizes (1/16” x 1/16” stringers, 1/16” sheet, 1/32” Sheet, etc.) |
edtherenderman | Guillows Series 1000 - JU-87 Stuka | Build | 29-Dec-20 10:48 | | Views : 576 | Bought myself a Christmas present from ebay. Of course, it arrived the day AFTER Christmas, but I still got it. Kit wasn’t what was advertised. The one in the advert was a newer kit. I can tell by the thickness of the plastic parts. Older kits are much more opaque than the new ones. This kit was from around 1985 from what I can tell from the sales materials inside the kit. Decals are shot. Cardstock interior paper is all brown and the plans are much discolored. However, all the parts seem to be there, and I was able to low bit the kit, so overall, I’m happy. I now have the F4U, P-47 and now the JU-87 in the closet to build. The only two I don’t have are the SBD-3 which I built as a young man, and the F6F which isn’t on my Must Build list. |
