Wings completed. Extra stringers and the use of heavy grade silkspan makes for a much better finished product.

One piece wet SGM tissue applied. Used dope to seal balsa, white glue to attach silkspan and dope for sealing tissue.

This part is ready for shaping and trial fitting of plastic. Haven't touched the monster in about a month, but I still find time to check out the website daily and occasinally comment. Keep up the good work.

Most tedious part of the project so far. Still a little more wood to go but had to stop.... all strung out.

Lots of extra mood means lots of extra sanding. Can't believe how strong this is now. I'll need it with all the handling and fitting of plastic later on.

Bottom view of wing. Extra 3/32" wing root former provides additional surface for silkspan covering. Thanks for the idea David.

THere's one at the Pima Air Museum south of Tucson in a hanger and painted with the dragon. I don't know if the lady is in or not. In person a B 24 has more rivets than a bridge.

Some eye candy. I hope James doesn't object to photos of real planes.

Left side stringers doubled. Rubber band at the nose assists in holding curve. Am using a new CA glue (Build It from Tower Hobbies) Using the thin and medium but the thin is like water. Tough to control amount of flow so I hope I don't experience problems
