After construction, sanding, and sealing the fuse diameter is 1/32 large than the plan. 1/64 of an inch on each side.

Fuse completed. I usually use Elmer's wood filler. Inexpensive and readily available. I tried the Hobbico balsa filler this time. Both work the same.

These arrived today. The book on the right is a wonderful resource for anyone building a SBD Dauntless. If I had this book before I built the pit, I would have included the back up filght contriols that the gunner could access. Wonderful book.
