First color coat yesterday. Running into the nitrate/butyrate problem. No butyrate thinner. Suggestions?

Tried pop can and balsa before settling on the cardstock. If yo put the green side in the paint covers more easily. Tin foil and toilet pape Do make good seat cushions. Used a strip of solder to stiffen the sides where there's a tube in the real thing.
