Have the plans redrawn and am now working on the lower wing. Things like this strut pocket will work much better in laser cut.

My first try at the wing. This is my first project using a drafting program. I'm never going back to T-square and triangle! The reference I was using wasn't accurate and the wing outline is wrong. Also, I didn't like the placement of the spars, rib spacing and the airfoil I was using so, "back to the drawing board!"

Finally got my Hurricane on the board. The printout is the proof for the "tissucals" for this model.

With 14 inch loop of 1/8 inch flat FIA tan rubber it weighs 28.5 grams. Balances without any ballast. (Like, I could take credit for that.)

Almost done. Still have to finish the struts and the shock cord covers. I can't seem to build anything light any more. With the finiching bits it will come out at a rather porky 25 grams without rubber. Add 4 grams for the motor and I have built another 30 gram model. Better stick to larger models or try some foamies.

Finally had some time to start on the assembly of the fuselage. The opossums in the garage seemed to enjoy watching me work.

Now that the box is done I can get to work on the big parts of the Bf-109

Opussum proof storage box for Bf-109 components in garage under construction. The box I had could not hold a one piece wing with over an 18 inch span. This will hold one piece wings to 30 inches. Opossum get in garage through cat flap. Can't close it
