While I'm at it, I'll be Vac forming a new canopy. This came with the kit. It's suppoed to have a full radius over the crown. Not "Frankensteined" like this one.

The "Monkey Motion" install begins! Just tacking everything in place till I know where it all goes and how it works. Apparently I've decided to install flaps as well.

My bulkhead clearancing for the radio/motor tray is a bit out of whack, but nothing a nice sanding block can't fix!

Modifiying bulkheads to open up "Greenhouse" canopy with laminated bass (replacing solid uppper section). Have to wait to finish wings (spars and stuff) till I know placement of wing joiners and incedence angle, hence fuse build up. Modifiying forward fuse bulkheads to accept a standardized motor reciever/ESC/servo board mounting unit so hopefully I can swap this unit between different models in the future.

After I finished the last rib for the wing I thought I'd try some 220 grit paper to help hold the pieces while cutting. Helps alot. Phil.

And there you have it. A scrap rib with a too thick trailing edge. That always seems to happen when someone's watching...sheesh! But you get the picture. I hope.

Snug blank back in place leaving remnant in place for support. Repeat process with top surface curve. Use Leading edge thickness for front curve position (I positioned the jig stop corner for this height) and in this case I used a piece of 1/16" to indicate T.E. height. I moved and missed on this one!

And carefully cut it. Don't remove remnant.
