I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

However before the reluctant task of wing fabrication can commence, a tail skid must be fabricated. Perhaps this issue may be addressed when I meet with Gumby on the morrow!

About 2 PM the doorbell rings. I open the door to see a cab pulling away. Who is on the stoop but the Gumster. The other night he went to a Groundhog Day party. He hooked up with a Claymation hottie. While leaving her apartment he slipped on some ice and wound up in the hospital.

Without the help of my little friend, I was not able to fully accomplish today’s fabrication goal. I did manage to construct and install an interrupter gear mechanism that will permit the Vickers to fire through a four bladed air screw. This mechanism synchronizes engine/airscrew rotation with Vickers discharge. Pictured here you can see how the linkage enters into the engine compartment.

MG belts originally were canvas. Upon discharge the belt would get caught in the prop wash, flail about and cause the gun to jam. The belt chute appears on Aeroplanes prior to the adaptation of a disintegrating metal link belt. I like the chute so Ogre fires canvas belted ammo!

I printed the roundel fuselage insignia, sanded them thin, allowed them to weather, and installed them. Looking at the photos in my reference booklet, weather and abused insignias were very common.
