While the papering process was intermittantly drying I worked on the cooling flaps and exhuast stacks that fit into them. The flaps are stiff paper left over from a Hellcat kit and the exhaust stacks are carved from bass wood left over from a ship kit. T

This way of adding a wing filet has its good points, however I'm not sure how I will like it on other models. We'll see, I'm always ready for something new, especially if it works.

The wing has been installed and the belly stringers have been glued in place. The number of stringers on the fuselage are so many that it almost looks like a DD construction, but not quite.

With Diels kits you get plenty of sanding and shaping of parts, The spinner and the underbelly airscoop are both made up of layered balsa glued together.
