This setup is extremely handy when gluing down the side formers, and pushing down on them and positioning them. It also provides a very solid base when gluing on the stringers after the formers have dried. |

The Rails are just high enough to raise the side edge of the finished former side, just above the building board. |

The crossmembers do not slide, but are pinned down to the rails, snugly sandwiching and holding each former. |
