Making the two remaining sides, I traced the outline of the engine onto additional card stock. I also allowed for extra plastic card along the bottom for the legs of the engine

Notice the plastic covers both the flat portion of the engine and extends overhead just enough for the cylinders. I scored the card prior to super-gluing it on the balsa block

This is where unsolicited smooth credit cards come in handy. Cut a strip about the width of your intended cylinders and the length of the engine block itself.
