This is a scratch built Fokker Dr.1 that I designed. I will email James to take it out of the Guillows Section. Well I am taking a break from Freeflight and decided to dabble back in RC. It has been about 15 years since I built an RC plane, then this year alone I have built 5 kits. First thing I am disgusted in the lack of kits and how many ARFs there are with no option to buy it as a kit form. This Fokker is based off the Great Planes Fokker and drawn from a Guillows Three view. I used Coreldraw to make the plans and parts and sent them to National Balsa for laser cutting. This is a 30 inch wing that will be electric when completed. I also have the Nieuport 11 at the cutters and will start that when this is done. I am designing a couple more WWI planes as well. I will also redesign the Large Guillows Stuka for electric power and laser cut parts. There are plenty of WWII short kits out there with wing spans of 35 go 40 inches but no Stuka. I will be able to have the parts laser cut and use the plastic parts from Guillows.
