I was able to cut out the parts and started putting this plane together, so far it is going together just fine. I really like how the Taylorcraft curves are caught in this plane. It is easy to build this plane crooked since the stringers curve so much. I built it in my jig and soaked the stringer in Ammonia and water to pre bend them to shape. I will finish the fuselage tomorrow and start on the wings. I still have to build the nose block, add the paper cowl, add motor peg mount and add landing gear wire.

I am onto my next build, the Comet Taylorcraft. I love these Comet kits, nothing fancy, just balsa and plans. The wood in this kit is pretty good. The average weight is 9lb\ft. I look forward to cutting out the parts, but never like sanding the ink. These still go pretty cheap on Ebay. Should be a fun build.

This Comet Kit flew pretty good with a little clay and downthrust. Not a bad flyer since I did not modifications during the build. I used 3/16 Rubber and a 6inch Peck prop.

I was able to go across the street to the park and fly my Cessna today. What a great little flyer, almost lost her on the second flight in a thermal. My wife got some pictures of it being tossed out of the thermal when the rubber ran out. It has a trim tab so it flies in a left circle, but the thermal through her out to the right. I have a short video, was longer but cannot somehow lost it in Windows Movie Maker. She flew with 3/16 rubber on 6 inch prop, and a little clay. http://www.youtube.com/user/SCIGS30#p/a/u/0/JKOrwj0Yfr0
