Covered in Esaki. Paint is acrylic airbrushed on. The plane is oversprayed with a fine mist of Krylon Krystal Matte finish. Wheels are balsa discs turned with a dremel. This was a long but fun build. I really like Diels kits.

The decals are leftovers from a 1/24 scale ME-109G. I browsed the internet and saw enough pics - I settled on a sorta generic representation of a 109 of the 1939-1940 time period.

All the little scale bits like the carb intake and exhaust are balsa.

There is a rubber peg in there and a flying prop / nose block for this plane but the scale prop looks so much better.

Still to go - canopy, underwing cannon pods, the bomb, and the prop / spinner. Oh - and paint. Lots of paint.

Here's a nice side view. This plane is going to be a Kanonvogel - a ground attack variant. I think this is actual a BF-109G6. The box art, which is great - I'll post a pic later has the aircraft carrying a bomb. Any Luftwaffe experts out there who can tell me if these aircraft were bombers?

This kit is a Sterling BF-109G that I bought on Ebay. Interesting construction. Initially I thought it was like a Guillows kit, but it's not quite the same as building a 500 series. I'm enjoying it though.
