The wire strut will be covered and shaped. The wire should slip from the tube epoxyed to the float. The tube will be covered with an Al mounting plate.

The floats are forward of the engine as per reference photo. The scrap prop clears the floats.

The dowels have been amputated to give the required width. You can see the Al tubing, a large ferrule, which holds the assembly together. My goal is to fabricate the float mounts as two halfs that slip together and mount onto the fuse. This will make my transport easier.

A great deal of thought will be required before the float stuts are manufactured and installed. Proper positioning is critical.

When the Float struts are made the fuse must be a tad higher and the final prop a tad smaller than the scrap prop.

When the epoxy on the dowels sets, the dowels can be cut to give the required spacing with the fuse. Tubing ferrules will allow me to adjust the width to the rquired fit.
