The silkspan didn't adhere to the inner stringers so....I used the tip of my xacto blade and made several small holes along the stringer and then put on a small amount of CA and used my finger to press it into place, an operation best done quickly

A second coat of filler was applied to the wing and fuselage and sanded smooth. Then two coats of nitrate dope was applied and sanded smooth. The bottom was then wet covered and given two coats of dope and the bottom fin pieces were glued in place on either side of the wire. This first side section is 3 1/2" wide.

Tailwheel unit glued in place but there are two more pieces to it. This is not the "plan way". The kit supplied tailwheel is a Guillows 1" standard item and too large so it will not be used. The roundel is from a Guillows Spitfire kit.

The canopy is covered on both sides with a blue plastic that is to be peeled off. The fit is great and the moulding is as good as that in a plastic kit.

The wheel is nearly at the correct height. The sections of the fin/rudder & stabilizer/elevators will now be cut apart for final shaping.
