Recharging the battery. You can see the new prop and pull-pull rudder. Like yesterday, just as the battery was finished recharging the wind kicked up. I tried to fly anyways and had a 20 second wild ride before doing a nose plant and breaking the prop.

I tried a 5" prop that I think came with the motor. Regardless, it seemed to privide more thrust and I had less trouble flying upwind and was able to climb fairly high.

Got out to the field again this afternoon. I didn't time the flight but I think it was about 5-6 minutes.

The RC club president showed up with his gas plane and gave quite a show. After he was done I tried to fly again but the breeze was too strong and I couldn't fly upwind, even at full throttle.

I got about 5 minutes of flying on the 300 mAh pack. If I power the radio directly from the battery rather than the ESC I should be able to run a bit longer before the low voltage cutout kicks in.

Lowering the ESC low voltage cutout to 3.5 volts worked. I also learned that the radio will cut out the motor if battery voltage drops to 3.8 volts.
