I received my Champ Motor in the mail and put it in the Se5 today and she flew great. She balanced out perfectly with no trimming or added weight. It was a little windy but the Se5 did ok, would definitely perform awesome indoors or on a calm day. The Se5 flies at half throttle, but opening it up is impressive. Once again, this was cut by Manzano Laser and built per the plans minus changing out the Vapor motor for the Champ motor. I had to enlarge the 2 holes in the plywood motor mount, add a battery extension cable and made the Motor cable longer to reach the receiver. I hope Charlie can produce this kit for others to enjoy, once again a great kit and design.

Very cool. I might have to try one of these myself.

What was the all-up weight, by the way? Please also post details on the rx, servos, motor and battery if possible!

The final weight ready to fly is 41 grams. I used the Champ motor and servo/receiver set up and the 1s 3.7 150 battery. I did have to use a battery extension cable and extended the wires on the motor since the receiver sits mid wing area in the fuselage. Pete Rake is re designing the motor set up so I would be guided by that.

41g is crazy light. 1.5oz. Wow. That is with battery? I think my 20" Dr.1 was about 4.5oz.
