biplane guy | 18-Aug-21 13:55 | Hey, Bob. The plans I used were by Jerry Behrens Plans. They were scaled for a much larger RC model than I wanted to build. A good example is the wheel size. The plans call for 6" diameter wheels and the size I'm using is only 1-3/4" diameter. I had a local reprographics company scale the plans to fit the Continental R670 engine from the Guillows PT-17 kit as the WACO UPF-7 uses the same engine. Lots of adjustments were made to allow for the working controls but the plans gave me an accurate starting point. |
