David Duckett | 20-Jan-11 20:51 | Adding supports for ordanance and fabricating landing gear braces. |
WhyNot | 21-Jan-11 00:58 | If I may take you back to your construction of the wing, I would like to know how you notched the wing ribs to take the extra top and bottom stringers (Image # 19797). It doesn't appear from the images prior that the extra notches were cut before you assembled the wing plan form. I see this on many of your builds and just wonder how you accomplish this after the basic wing structure is completed. I am trying to screw up enough courage to attempt taking a stick and tissue model and build it up more solid as you and others have done, but am puzzled by some of the techniques used. I apologize if this has been covered by you elsewhere. Charlie |
David Duckett | 21-Jan-11 08:37 | If I've covered it before, chances are there's a photo or two on here showing what I did. Once you see it, hopefully it will make building less of a puzzle to you. There is a reason for all the changes I make adding wood, just as there is for those who want their models to fly removing it. I think adding wood inherently makes a model stronger so I think you have courage enough. Ask away, that's why we are here. |
poppy | 21-Jan-11 09:09 | Dazzling! Did you make the LG struts? |
David Duckett | 21-Jan-11 09:17 | Per plan, actually. |
