The canopies in Diels kits are made of light material but gain a lot of strength when glued in place. They do not have raised frame outlines and there's not a lot of excess plastic. I first trimmed the canopy to a rough fit, removing the front and back support parts. Then I taped it in place with clear tape to make sure it fits. Finally 1/16" Pactra masking tape is used to outline and the excess will be trimmed away with scissors, cutting to the outside of the tape.

Looking SO good DD!

where do you get the pactra tape at dd?
David Duckett20-Nov-15 10:53
It is no longer available but I did get it from Ebay. Have you tried Ebay, Brian? You can get nearly anything. I really suggest you try it next time you need something.

yes I am accustomed to ebay. I got a p-39 and mosquito from them.

Thank you. They may not be masterpieces but if I don't try to do the best I can, why bother?
